Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Saturday said she met the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly during the Munich Security Conference, noting that the OSCE official is planning a visit to Georgia in the near future.
Speaking in Munich, Botchorishvili said she had held a number of bilateral meetings with counterparts and representatives of international organisations on the sidelines of the conference.
Among them was a meeting with the Swiss Foreign Minister, as Switzerland currently holds the OSCE Chairmanship. The parties discussed the situation in Georgia and the wider region, with Botchorishvili stressing the importance of keeping Georgia on the OSCE agenda, particularly in the context of ongoing security challenges.
She also took part in a discussion dedicated to the Middle Corridor alongside Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, highlighting the strategic relevance of the route for European security and Georgia’s contribution to its development.
The Minister said further meetings were scheduled with foreign counterparts and international officials, including the OSCE Secretary General, adding that she was using the conference format to ensure Georgia-related issues remain part of international discussions.
