Georgian Foreign Minister and First Vice Prime Minister Maka Botchorishvili has said that Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's official visit to Kyrgyzstan will focus on expanding cooperation across a range of sectors and strengthening coordination on international issues.

Speaking in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday, where Kobakhidze is on an official visit, Botchorishvili said the programme includes high-level meetings aimed at advancing bilateral relations and discussing cooperation in both regional and international formats.

"The visit will include meetings at the highest level, with discussions covering cooperation in various fields. It provides a good opportunity to discuss collaboration on the international stage, both bilaterally and within multilateral formats," she said.

Botchorishvili noted that an intergovernmental economic commission meeting will also take place during the visit, describing it as an important platform for addressing issues on the economic agenda between the two countries.

She added that economic cooperation between Georgia and Kyrgyzstan has been developing dynamically and stressed the importance of reviewing areas of mutual interest within the framework of the commission.

The foreign minister also confirmed that she will hold talks with her Kyrgyz counterpart, adding that cooperation within international organisations will be among the key topics under discussion.

According to Botchorishvili, the visit offers an opportunity to strengthen coordination between Tbilisi and Bishkek on issues of shared interest in both bilateral and multilateral settings.
