Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili is in Greece this week to participate in the Delphi Economic Forum, where discussions are centred on European security, enlargement policy and regional connectivity.
Within the Forum, Botchorishvili attended a working session titled “Defence through Enlargement: Security as a New Pillar of Accession,” alongside EU officials including Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos and former EU Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos.
The session focused on how security considerations are increasingly shaping EU enlargement policy, particularly in the context of ongoing geopolitical tensions in Europe and its neighbourhood.
Botchorishvili is also scheduled to deliver remarks at a panel titled “From the Mediterranean to the Black Sea: A New Security Belt for Europe,” where participants are expected to discuss evolving regional security dynamics.
In addition, she will take part in a discussion dedicated to the Middle Corridor, with emphasis on Georgia’s strategic role in regional and global transport and logistics networks linking Europe and Asia.
