Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili, on Wednesday emphasized the importance of deepening economic cooperation with Uzbekistan during her visit to the country.

Speaking at a meeting of the Economic Commission, Botchorishvili highlighted the commission’s role as a vital platform for discussing various areas of cooperation that contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two nations.

“This is an important format that exists between Georgia and Uzbekistan,” Botchorishvili said. “As with other countries, it is very important for us to deepen economic cooperation with Uzbekistan and, in general, with the countries of Central Asia. The Economic Commission provides a valuable opportunity to discuss different sectors, contributing to the strengthening and expansion of our economic relations.”

She also underlined the importance of identifying priority areas for collaboration and listening to the perspectives of Uzbek partners. “The potential is quite significant, and to fully utilize it, we need to deepen political dialogue,” Botchorishvili added.
