Georgia is prepared to renew dialogue with the European Union on the basis of mutual respect, should the EU decide to return to the negotiation table, Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili stated in an interview with Spanish news agency EFE.

“Our relations with the EU are not in the best state […], and we call on the EU to show determination in this matter to break the deadlock. Georgia is currently in a phase of strategic expectation regarding its ties with the European Union,” Bochorishvili said.

”Tbilisi remains hopeful that the EU will recognize Georgia as a reliable partner in the region,” she added.
