The Strong Georgia coalition has officially submitted documentation to the Central Election Commission (CEC) to remove its electoral list following a Political Council decision. Coalition leader Mamuka Khazaradze announced the move during a joint briefing on Tuesday.

“We were procedurally awaiting the legal steps that arose yesterday despite the fact that the parliament is illegitimate. Therefore, today we are applying to the CEC with the relevant documentation regarding the removal of the lists,” Khazaradze stated.

This development follows earlier actions by Giorgi Vashadze, a member of the Unity – National Movement, and members of the Coalition for Change, who have requested the termination of their parliamentary mandates in protest to “rigged” October general elections.
