Georgian and Azerbaijani security chiefs discuss deepening cooperation in Tbilisi

Georgia’s State Security Service Head Mamuka Mdinaradze on Saturday hosted Ali Naghiyev, Head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, who arrived in Tbilisi for an official visit.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed key directions of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, discussing new initiatives aimed at further strengthening cooperation in security. Both parties emphasised enhanced information exchange and sharing of experience between the agencies.
Officials underscored that close collaboration between the security services contributes to reinforcing bilateral relations and plays an important role in maintaining peace and stability in the wider region. Regional security developments and ongoing challenges were also discussed.
Following the talks, the two security chiefs laid wreaths at the Memorial of Georgian War Heroes who died defending the country’s territorial integrity, as well as at the Heydar Aliyev Monument in Tbilisi.
