Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of Georgia’s ruling party, Georgian Dream, addressed public concerns on social media, urging citizens to remain steadfast in their belief that Georgia’s rightful place is within Europe. His post targeted those facing what he called “pseudo-liberal fascism and bullying,” emphasizing that there’s no need for apologies or hesitation in expressing pro-European sentiments.

“Freely declare that Georgia belongs to Europe—Christian and dignified Europe! We are unwavering in this stance. Reflect on who is truly bullying you and why,” Mdinaradze wrote. He criticized what he perceives as manipulative narratives aimed at discouraging pro-European expressions.

Mdinaradze further encouraged individuals to assess the situation critically, claiming there is no official rejection of negotiations with the EU in the government’s statements. He urged skeptics to revisit the latest announcements and reconsider their stance.

In a follow-up post, Mdinaradze reiterated: “Georgia is Europe—Christian and dignified Europe! No one will divert us from this path!”
The remarks come amid ongoing public protests over Georgian Dream’s decision to delay EU accession talks, sparking significant backlash from citizens and public servants.
