Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of Georgia’s ruling Georgian Dream party and parliamentary majority leader, reiterated controversial claims about the existence of a so-called “deep state” in the United States, accusing critics of underestimating the Georgian public by dismissing such assertions as simplistic or conspiratorial.

Speaking on the political talk show Night Courier, Mdinaradze criticized those who demand specific names or identities when referring to the “deep state.”

"Why do they treat our society as if it’s primitive? Why do they assume people are too simple to understand? What does it mean to ask ‘who is it, what's their name and surname? This is not about individuals—it’s about an informal, oligarchic network of powerful influence," Mdinaradze said.

According to Mdinaradze, the "deep state" is a powerful, informal group embedded within the US bureaucracy that seeks to expand its global influence through control over foreign political processes. He also equated the “deep state” with the “global war party,” describing it as a shadowy power bloc with an agenda to dominate international affairs.

"The deep state exists in the US, and even Americans themselves admit it and are fighting against it," he said. "But whether that fight is genuine or just a rebranding effort, time will tell. If the fight is real, we will see the results."

He praised Georgia’s government and people for “exposing” this alleged influence and said the country’s independence now allows open discussions on such topics.

"Our country has dared to speak out publicly about these informal powers. Today, Georgia is a truly independent country, which gives us the ability to speak this freely," Mdinaradze stated.
