Ruling Georgian Dream MP Mariam Lashkhi has accused so-called “Deep State” networks of continuing their activities in Georgia, following patterns established during the previous US administration. She made the statement on the social media platform X.

According to Lashkhi, despite clarifications from the US Embassy in Georgia, the facts indicate that “Deep State” structures remain operational in the country. She stressed the importance of respecting Georgia’s sovereignty and ensuring financial transparency.

“Despite the US Embassy’s clarifications, facts speak for themselves: ‘Deep State’ networks continue their activities in Georgia, following the same pattern established during the previous US administration. Georgia’s sovereignty must be respected, and funding must be transparent,” she wrote.
