Mother arrested in Marneuli for domestic violence against her minor children

Officers of the Marneuli District Division under the Kvemo Kartli Police Department have arrested A.N., born in 1994 and previously convicted, on charges of domestic violence against minors, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Wednesday.

According to the investigation, the mother physically assaulted her two underage children, born in 2012 and 2016. The minors sustained multiple injuries as a result of the abuse.

Law enforcement officers detained the suspect shortly after the incident.

The offense is punishable by up to three years of imprisonment.
