MEP Viola von Cramon says that the EU should not spend its money on the country whose government refuses to fulfil key obligations and promises.

Cramon says that the Georgian Dream government has distanced the country from EU membership and refused to carry out fundamental judiciary and other reforms which are proposed by the EU-Georgia Association Agreement.

She says that ‘making a financial reaction’ by the EU is needed in the situation.

The Georgian Dream government, however, says that Georgia is fulfilling the Association Agreement conditions and the EU reports also confirm this.

The government also says that it has carried out fundamental reforms and is taking steps to finalise the process.
