Georgia deports 103 foreign nationals in recent migration crackdown

Authorities in Georgia on Wednesday said 103 foreign citizens have been expelled from the country in recent days as part of intensified migration enforcement measures.
The operations were carried out by the Migration Department in close coordination with other relevant units, the body said.
The expulsions followed a series of complex, nationwide actions targeting individuals residing in the country without legal status.
Those deported include citizens of Turkey, India, Egypt, Russia, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, China, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ghana, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Thailand, among others.
Under current legislation, those deported have also been banned from re-entering Georgia.
