13 foreign nationals deported from Georgia in recent days

The ministry noted that a total of 1,311 foreign nationals were deported from Georgia over the past year.

The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close coordination with relevant divisions of the ministry, has deported 13 foreign nationals from the country in recent days, the MIA press office said on Tuesday.
The individuals deported were citizens of Turkmenistan, Iran, Cuba, Turkey, Thailand, and Azerbaijan. The deportations were carried out as part of comprehensive measures aimed at combating illegal migration.
The ministry noted that a total of 1,311 foreign nationals were deported from Georgia over the past year. In line with current legislation, all deported individuals have been banned from re-entering the country.
The MIA stated that the Migration Department is the agency responsible for addressing illegal migration within Georgia. Its mandate includes identifying foreign nationals residing in the country without legal grounds and enforcing deportation through intensified migration controls and other special measures.
