Georgia expels 25 foreign nationals for illegal migration

The individuals expelled were citizens of Armenia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Nigeria, Tajikistan, China, Turkmenistan, Russia, India, Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the expulsion of 25 foreign nationals as part of a coordinated effort to combat illegal migration.
The Ministry on Wednesday said the operation was conducted in recent days in close coordination with the Migration Department and other relevant units. The individuals expelled were citizens of Armenia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Nigeria, Tajikistan, China, Turkmenistan, Russia, India, Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
"In accordance with current legislation, the expelled persons were banned from re-entering the country," the Ministry said.
The Migration Department, which oversees the enforcement of immigration laws, is tasked with identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal status and ensuring their removal.
