Georgian authorities detain 32 foreign nationals in immigration enforcement operation

As part of efforts to combat illegal migration, the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia conducted a targeted immigration control operation.
According to the Ministry, the operation involved checks at specific locations identified through gathered intelligence, aimed at detecting foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal authorization.
The operation resulted in the detention of 32 foreign nationals, including citizens of China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Cuba.
Investigations confirmed that the detainees were in violation of Georgia’s law on the legal status of aliens and stateless persons.
All individuals are currently held at the Migration Department’s temporary accommodation center, with procedures underway for their deportation.
