Georgia has deported 32 foreign nationals who were residing in the country without legal grounds, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

According to the statement, the deportations were carried out by the Ministry’s Migration Department in close coordination with other relevant units. The individuals expelled from the country were citizens of Turkey, India, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Cameroon, China and Nigeria.

In line with Georgian legislation, all deported individuals have been issued entry bans.

The Ministry noted that the Migration Department is responsible for combating illegal immigration within the country, including identifying foreign nationals lacking lawful residence status and enforcing deportation procedures.
