Georgia's Migration Department has detained 50 foreign nationals found to be residing in the country illegally during a nationwide immigration enforcement operation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said on Saturday.
The Ministry said those detained include citizens of India, Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Sudan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Jordan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Uganda and Kenya.
The detainees have been transferred to the Migration Department's temporary accommodation center, where procedures are underway for their removal from the country, the body added.
