Georgia’s interior ministry on Tuesday said it had deported 56 foreign nationals from the country in recent days following coordinated operations by its migration department and other relevant units.

The individuals deported were citizens of Turkey, India, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Morocco, Nigeria, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

The ministry said the deportations followed a series of comprehensive measures carried out in line with existing legislation.
