Georgia’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday said 62 foreign nationals have been expelled from the country following a series of migration enforcement operations carried out in recent days.

The operations were conducted by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in close coordination with other Interior Ministry units.

Those deported included citizens of Turkey, India, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Nigeria, Egypt, Nepal, Russia, South Africa, Sudan, Jordan and Philippines, among others.

The ministry said the individuals were deported as part of what it described as “complex measures” carried out by the migration department.
