Georgia’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday said 74 foreign nationals had been expelled from the country following recent enforcement measures carried out by the Migration Department in coordination with other units of the ministry.

The expulsions followed a series of coordinated operations conducted over the past few days.

Those removed from the country include citizens of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Turkmenistan, India, Jordan, Nigeria, Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, China and Turkey.

In total, 74 people were expelled as a result of what the ministry described as “complex measures” carried out by the Migration Department.

Under current legislation, the individuals concerned have also been banned from re-entering Georgia.
