Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has said that 74 foreign nationals were deported from the country following a series of migration enforcement operations carried out in recent days.

The operations were conducted by the Migration Department in close coordination with other Interior Ministry units, the ministry said on Wednesday.

The ministry said those expelled included citizens of Turkey, India, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Kenya, Iran, Belarus, Egypt, Tajikistan, Russia, Iraq, Zimbabwe, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Sudan, Uganda and Uzbekistan, among other countries.

Under Georgian law, the deported individuals have also been banned from re-entering the country, the ministry added.
