Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia on Tuesday said it had deported 78 foreign nationals in recent days as part of coordinated migration enforcement measures.

The operation was carried out by its Migration Department in close cooperation with other relevant units. The individuals expelled were citizens of multiple countries, including Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Turkey, Yemen, India, Cameroon, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Somalia and China, among others.

Officials said the deportations followed a series of “complex measures” aimed at enforcing migration regulations.

In line with Georgian legislation, all of those removed from the country have also been banned from re-entering Georgia.
