Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with the Speaker of the Assembly of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, to discuss bilateral relations and opportunities to expand cooperation between the two countries.
According to the President's press office, the talks focused on strengthening partnership in a range of areas, including the economy, trade, connectivity, education, culture and people-to-people ties.
The sides also discussed the importance of enhancing links between the Black Sea region and the Western Balkans, with particular emphasis on developing secure and reliable transit routes and economic corridors.

The President expressed confidence that cooperation between Georgia and North Macedonia would continue to deepen in the future, according to the press office.
