Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, on his first official visit to the Republic of Turkey as head of state, emphasized the strong strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. He made the remarks during a joint press briefing with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Kavelashvili thanked his Turkish counterpart for the warm and exceptional hospitality, noting that the high-level meetings had covered the active agenda of bilateral and multilateral relations between Georgia and Turkey.

“Your Excellency, I would like to sincerely thank you for your outstanding and cordial hospitality. Today, during high-level meetings, we discussed the active agenda of bilateral and multilateral relations, exchanged views on important regional issues, and outlined prospects for future cooperation. We also spoke about the importance of maintaining the dynamics of high-level meetings, and I personally invited our friend, President Erdoğan, to visit Georgia.
