Georgian President to address 80th UN General Assembly session in New York

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Sunday departed for the United States, where he will deliver a speech at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The Presidential Press Office said the visit would include a series of high-level bilateral meetings. Kavelashvili is scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and attend an official reception hosted by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in honour of heads of delegations participating in the Assembly.

The President’s visit to the United States will take place from September 21 to 26.
