Georgian President visits Serbia on official visit

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has arrived in Serbia for a state visit, the President’s press service announced on Wednesday.

An official welcoming ceremony took place at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, where Kavelashvili and the Georgian delegation were received by Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Serbia’s Ambassador to Georgia Tatjana Panajotović-Cvetković and Georgia’s Ambassador to Serbia Levan Beridze.

During the visit, an official ceremony will be held at the Palace of Serbia, where Kavelashvili will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. The programme includes both bilateral and expanded-format meetings, followed by a joint press statement.

The Georgian President will also hold high-level talks with Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut and the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić.
