Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, addressing the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, declared that while Georgia remains open to dialogue and cooperation with global powers, the Georgian people will never tolerate being spoken to in the language of ultimatums, blackmail, or intimidation.
“Our goal is to develop constructive relations based on mutual respect and shared benefit with major economies such as the United States, China, the European Union and others,” Kavelashvili stated.
“We are open to any dialogue and cooperation, but at the same time, we demand respect and a fair and dignified approach. What the Georgian people will never accept is being spoken to in the language of ultimatums, blackmail or intimidation”, he added.
The President emphasised that Georgia is a faithful adherent to the core principles and values of the United Nations and a responsible member of the international community. He pointed to significant progress made by the Government in protecting human rights, sustaining peace, and ensuring economic growth.
Kavelashvili further noted that Georgia has shown remarkable resilience to global and regional challenges in recent years, maintaining stability and achieving steady development.
“The positive trajectory of Georgia’s growth is reflected in and confirmed by the international rankings and indicators of the world’s most reputable organisations,” he underlined.
