President Mikheil Kavelashvili met on Tuesday with the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, to discuss regional developments, ongoing challenges, and the progress of the tourist season, his press office said. 

The meeting, held at the Adjara Government House in Batumi, focused on the current socio-economic situation in the region and reviewed ongoing projects aimed at boosting tourism and infrastructure.

The two officials further exchanged views on ways to address key challenges facing Adjara and improve the effectiveness of regional governance.

Tamazashvili also briefed the president on his future plans and strategic priorities. President Kavelashvili expressed his support and wished the regional leader success in his “responsible position.”
