Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili paid tribute to the Unknown Soldier on Mount Avala during his official visit to Serbia by laying a wreath at the memorial, the presidential press service announced on Thursday.

The President was accompanied by Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Members of Parliament Irakli Mezurnishvili, Irma Zavradsashvili, Guram Macharashvili and Chief of the Presidential Administration Ketevan Kvinikadze.

After the ceremony, Kavelashvili signed the guestbook, leaving a note to commemorate the occasion.
