The ceremony marked 105 years since the Soviet occupation of Georgia

President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Wednesday paid tribute to the soldiers who heroically fell in the battles of Kojori-Tabakhmela, laying a wreath at the Juncture Memorial alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani, and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.

The ceremony marked 105 years since the Soviet occupation of Georgia. According to a parliamentary resolution adopted on 21 July 2010, 25 February is officially recognised as Soviet Occupation Day.
