Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Monday pardoned 159 convicted individuals in connection with the Feast of Epiphany.

The Presidential Administration said the decision was made within the “exclusive constitutional authority” vested in the President of Georgia and is based on the principles of humanism and state interest.
