Georgian President begins official visit to Armenia

President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, has begun his official visit to the Republic of Armenia. A welcoming ceremony was held at Zvartnots International Airport, where Kavelashvili was received by Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.

During his visit, President Kavelashvili is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He will also meet with the Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin II.

The President is accompanied by an official delegation, including the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Ketevan Kvinikadze, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lasha Darsalia, First Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Giorgi Volski, and MPs Samvel Manukiani and Sumbat Kyureghiani, according to the press service.
