President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelaishvili, has pardoned 613 inmates in honor of the Epiphany holiday, according to an announcement shared by the President on social media.

“The President’s use of the exclusive constitutional authority to grant pardons is based on the principles of humanity and the interests of the state.

Through this humane approach, pardoned individuals are given the opportunity to reunite with their families and once again become fully contributing members of society,” the statement reads.
