Saakashvili claimed he had previously prevented major disasters in Georgia five times

Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia’s third president, has said that he was willing to participate in questioning former Prime Minister under his rule Zurab Nogaideli, whom he described as a “traitor to the homeland.”

Speaking of the ongoing trial on Monday, Saakashvili claimed he had previously prevented major disasters in Georgia five times.

“Good news – Russia is in a serious crisis. As for Armenia, Russia is losing it as well. Putin’s meeting with Pashinyan was almost comical, watching how Putin tried to prevent Armenia from leaving his military blocs and joining the EU. Russia is in trouble because the process on the front is going very well; the overall trend is correct and moving in the right direction. I have prevented Georgia from great misfortune five times. Now, I will gladly participate in the questioning of the homeland’s traitor, Zurab Nogaideli,” he said.

The Tbilisi City Court is currently holding proceedings in the case related to the 7 November dispersal of opposition protests. Saakashvili attended the session, where Nogaideli is scheduled to give testimony.
