Georgian Health Minister meets Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner, discusses rights situation in country

Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze on Thursday met with Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Michael O’Flaherty to discuss the human rights situation in the country and ongoing cooperation in this area.

The Ministry's press office said Sarjveladze briefed the Commissioner on his office’s activities, as well as ongoing programmes and projects related to the protection of human rights.

He also thanked O’Flaherty for cooperation and highlighted the importance of continued partnership.

The sides additionally discussed future areas of cooperation between the Ministry and the Council of Europe.
