In Donbass, militants continue to ignore  the ceasefire and fire at the positions of the Ukrainian military. As a result of the shelling, a soldier was killed.
This is stated in the morning report of the JFO headquarters.
Over the past day, on April 8, the militants violated the ceasefire 15 times. At the same time, 11 attacks were recorded on the positions of the Ukrainian military, 2 attacks on civilian infrastructure, 1 remote mining with POM-2 mines and 1 fact that the enemy was equipping fortifications.
In the area of ​​the settlements of Peski and Vodyanoe, the enemy opened fire from 122-caliber artillery mounts, 82-caliber mortars, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. And near the village of Shirokino, he fired at OOS positions from large-caliber machine guns. Near the village of Nevelsk, militants used anti-tank grenade launchers.
The armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire from automatic heavy-duty grenade launchers near the village of Luganskoye. As a result, a Ukrainian soldier was mortally wounded.
"As a result of enemy fire, a soldier from the Joint Forces received injuries incompatible with life. The command expresses sincere and deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased defender," the message says.
It is also known that the militants twice carried out artillery shelling of civilian infrastructure in the Vodyanoye area. Near the settlement of Shyrokyne, the militants set up new military positions, and in the direction of the village of Zaitsevo, the enemy carried out remote mining from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers with POM-2 mines.
The JFO headquarters say that in response to enemy fire, the Ukrainian military reciprocated. As of the morning of April 9, there had been no shelling.
