The Ministry of Health appeals to the population, in case of refusal of the vaccine, to request a written reason and send the document, along with their signed application, to the e-mail of the Agency for Regulation of Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities.

According to the Ministry, a citizen can also apply at the Citizens’ Reception of the Ministry.

“The process of universal vaccination is actively underway in the country and the number of vaccinated people is growing every day. At the same time, there are periodic cases when a person who has arrived to get a vaccination is refused a vaccination by a doctor for certain reasons, and in some suspicious cases this refusal does not comply with the existing protocol.

The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia addresses the population, in case of refusal of the vaccine, to request a written reason and send the document along with your signed application to the Regulatory Agency for Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities regagency@moh.gov.ge. You can also go to the Citizens’ reception of the Ministry. After filing the application, the regulatory agency will investigate how correct the doctor’s decision was and whether the patient’s condition was a contraindication to the vaccine. “We remind you that due to the current pandemic conditions and the high rate of infection, vaccination is an alternative and the most important tool to protect human life and health” – was said in a statement of the Ministry of  of Labor, Health and Social Defence of Georgia.
