Minor dies after being electrocuted in renovated Vake park in Tbilisi

A 13-year-old girl, who was electrocuted in the fountain of a newly renovated Vake Park of Tbilisi, died on Thursday, a doctor in Khechinashvili clinic has confirmed. 

The 13-year-old boy, who was also transferred to the same clinic, remains on artificial ventilation, while the condition of another teenager, who was also injured in the incident, is satisfactory, doctors said. 

According to eyewitnesses, the children were playing with a ball that fell into the pool. At first, the child tried to remove the ball, but after being struck by electricity, his friends tried to help him.

Police are looking into the incident. 

Renovated Vake Park opened on Wednesday.
