Minor dying after falling from residential blocks in Batumi victim of sexual violence – police

A 15-year-old who on Sunday died after falling from a residential blocks in the Georgian Black Sea city of Batumi, was a victim of sexual violence, the Georgian Interior Ministty said on Wednesday.

An alleged perpetrator, who had “systematically raped, insulted and humiliated the minor” has been arrested and facing up to nine years in prison if found guilty by the court, the body said. 

It added the minor jumped from the 15th floor following the repeated violence.
