Ukraine reports 1,240 Russian soldiers lost in single day

Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff on Sunday said Russia had lost about 1,122,810 troops - including both killed and wounded - as of October 12, marking an increase of 1,240 within the past 24 hours.

The General Staff also published updated estimates of Russian military equipment losses since February 25, 2022. These include:

• Tanks: 11,248 (+1)

• Armored vehicles: 23,345 (+0)

• Artillery systems: 33,578 (+10)

• Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,518 (+0)

• Air defense systems: 1,225 (+0)

• Aircraft: 427 (+0)

• Helicopters: 346 (+0)

• Operational-tactical UAVs: 69,010 (+244)

• Cruise missiles: 3,859 (+0)

• Speedboats/ships: 28 (+0)

• Submarines: 1 (+0)

• Vehicles and fuel tanks: 63,934 (+87)

• Special equipment: 3,976 (+3)
