Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has praised Georgia's recent economic performance, saying the country's achievements reflected the Georgian government's consistent and effective work.
Speaking during talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in Tbilisi, Mirziyoyev congratulated Georgia for its “economic progress despite challenging global conditions.”
"Georgia's impressive economic achievements deserve special recognition, and I sincerely congratulate you on them. Despite the current global economic environment, achieving such results is undoubtedly the outcome of the consistent and effective work of the government and your entire team," Mirziyoyev said.
He added that Georgia was now "rightfully among the world's fastest-growing economies" and credited its progress to what he described as the leadership of Kobakhidze and his government.
Mirziyoyev also described Georgia as "an important partner and a reliable pillar" for Uzbekistan in the South Caucasus.
He thanked the Georgian authorities for their hospitality and for awarding him Georgia's Order of the Golden Fleece, adding that elevating bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership was "a major achievement."
"Cooperation between our two countries has been developing dynamically in recent years across all areas, and this is only the beginning," Mirziyoyev said.
