Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, who is paying an official visit to Georgia for the first time, has stated that it will be less likely for Georgia to join the EU and NATO without the political stability in the country.

He said after the press conference with Georgian president Salome Zurabishvili earlier today that Montenegro is ‘closely observing’ political developments in Georgia.

Djukanovic expressed hope that like Montenegro, Georgia will achieve its political goals.

Diplomatic relations between Georgia and Montenegro were established back on October 29, 2007.

It is for the first time the country’s president arrived in Georgia on an official visit.
