The crime carries a maximum prison sentence of up to eight years

Officers from the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have arrested L.Ch., an employee of the Imereti Police Department, on charges of illegal acquisition and possession of narcotics.

During a personal search, law enforcement officials seized a large quantity of methadone from the officer.

The crime carries a maximum prison sentence of up to eight years.
