The Ingenuity drone helicopter, which arrived on Mars with the Perseverance rover, made its second successful autonomous flight on the Red Planet on Thursday, NASA reported.
The Ingenuity helicopter climbed up to five meters. Following a short hover, the helicopter tilted 5 degrees and flew off to the side by two meters. After that, he hovered again and performed turns to direct his color cameras in different directions. Then he went to his "airfield" to complete the landing. The entire flight lasted for about 50 seconds.
