NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for Caucasus,Central Asia to visit Georgia today

Javier Colomina, who took the office of the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia back in September 2021, will arrive in Georgia From Azerbaijan later today on his first official visit.
While in Tbilisi, he will hold meetings with Georgian top officials, including Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, President Salome Zurabishvili, Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, Parliament Speaker Kakhaber Kuchava, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, as well as civic society representatives.
Colomina is also scheduled to visit the occupation line which separates Georgia from its currently Russian-occupied Tskhinvali region.
He replaced James Appathurai, who had taken the post for 10 years, in the role.
