Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has expressed disappointment over Georgia’s government’s shift away from its European path, despite strong public support for EU integration.

Speaking to journalists in Brussels ahead of the European Council meeting, Nausėda said: “The most disappointing thing for me is that the Georgian government announced they are moving away from the European path, although 80 percent of the Georgian people support the European dream. The Georgian Dream should not take away the European dream from the majority of the country.”
