New Georgian PM holds discussions with Intelligence Service Chief, Ambassadors

Irakli Kobakhidze, the recently appointed Prime Minister of Georgia, engaged in discussions on Wednesday with the head of the country’s intelligence service and several newly appointed ambassadors to discuss plans. 

During the meeting, Kobakhidze outlined priorities and delegated specific tasks to the newly appointed ambassadors to Brazil, China, Estonia, India, Israel, Jordan, and Kuwait, as announced by the Government’s press office.

Kobakhidze also took the opportunity to extend his congratulations to the diplomats on their appointments as envoys of the country.

Present at the meeting were Archil Dzuliashvili, Ambassador to Jordan; Paata Kalandadze, Ambassador to China; Noshrevan Lomtatidze, Ambassador to Kuwait; Zaza Kandelaki, Ambassador to Israel; Zurab Mchedlishvili, Ambassador to Brazil; Vakhtang Jaoshvili, Ambassador to India; and Zurab Khamashuridze, Ambassador to Estonia.

Shalva Lomidze, the Director of the Intelligence Service of Georgia, highlighted the operational and analytical activities of his agency.

The discussions at the Government’s Tbilisi offices also touched upon the agency’s development priorities for the year, which include planned international projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing capabilities in intelligence, technical, scientific, and educational domains, as per the Government press office.
