New Georgian University, Greek Volos Academy of Theological Studies sign cooperation memorandum

The New Georgian University and Greek Volos Academy of Theological Studies on Wednesday signed a memorandum of cooperation in Melissatika, Greece. 

Metropolitan Grigol of Poti and Khobi, the rector of the Georgian university, and Pantelis Kalaitzidis, the director of the Volos Academy, have signed the deal, with the official ceremony also attended by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Volos Academy, Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias. 

The New Georgian University delegation has visited the academy as part of its trip to Greece, with the institutions having had close ties over the years. 

The memorandum was seen to further upgrade the existing “close cooperation”, the New Georgian University said. 

While in the academy, the Georgian delegation had also been introduced to its library and archival resources.
