Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili said on Thursday that 2023 “will be decisive” for Georgia on its Euro-Atlantic integration parth, calling on all political parties to “merge forces” for the country’s European future.

Georgia applied for EU membership back in March 2022, shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In June the European Council granted Georgia European perspective and gave several months to address issues, including in the country’s judiciary and de-oligarchization, to receive EU candidacy.

Reportedly in the next year Georgia will have to present the responses to the 12 conditions set by the European Commission.
